Notes from my year study

It is sad I am not partying the new year but for you all I am going to do a bonus blog. Thank you John G my old PE teacher for reading the blog. It is great you read and I am going to tell you all a story about John. It happened on the first day of school. In that system you get 2 warnings and then you got 15 after school. John Mr Cole man gave me a warning and so did you, Thank the Lord you did not compare notes because It saved my life 15 in the can. Who can forget the light bulb. Its good to have you aboard. Keep reading it.

I want to talk tonight on the bible in a year thing I am reading. I am working on the whole bible and a few things Jump out at me from time to time. I just found the book over the last half hour. Here are some things I have noted in this reading.

Ps 4 4 Don't sin by letting anger gain control over you.
Think about it overnight and remain silent.

I am not to sin when I am angry and I am not to let it control me. Anger is not me in the real sense it was a part of the old nature. When I came to Jesus I am given a new nature and I do not have to sin. Sin is there if I choose it. It is a wiser thing on my anger to just sleep on it. I need to calm down and do the right thing and not act out in the anger. I can control anger and I need to. If I do not then I am not going to witness and I need to be a good witness.

Gen 18
14 Is anything too hard for the LORD?
In this Chapter of the Bible God is telling Sarah that she is going to have a son at her old age. I like this quote because there is nothing hard for the Lord. He can and does things all the time that we think he won't. He can mend your heart, He can love you when you gone to far. Jesus can mend things we cannot. John He loves you and he knows your heart is broken. I Love him because he heals and forgives and provides even when I am so not worthy for him. We as sinners and he forgives you and Love us. Nothing is impossible with Jesus. Nothing.

First off tonight is the last one year. It has been a great time writing this last year. I have done 104 things like this since Aug. I am proud of that. I want to do 300 in the next year ALL ON THE NET. It gives me a chance to ponder Jesus and to have you think and read along. My goals for the next 365.

3 Do a activity with a friend 2 times a week
4 Email each person on my list one time a month personally

I am going to try to keep track of the goals all year and hope to make each of them and exceed all of them.

Here is a bible lesson for tonight

Blessed are the meek,
For they shall inherit the earth.

Rephaseing this
Happy are the Meek for they are going to inherit the earth. Lets define the word Meek. It is to be gentle and kind. Meekness is a peaceful kind of thing. If I am meek I am going to be gentle to people and to the animals the Lord made. It mean not squirting the cat at my aunts home but to be gentle with them. I had a cat as a kid and her name was mittens, She loved to sleep on my bed all the time (even after the abuse she got with me.) We ought to treat the Lords world with respect. It does not mean we can eat the things in it either.

Meek is also to be humble in the Lord. It is to know we are nothing under the power of God. We ought to be humble and lay low at time in our admiring and worship of the Lord. It is being child like in our awe of the Lord Jesus. Like think of the first time when Jesus touched your heart. It for me was in the days after I asked Jesus into my heart he was there and I felt new and blessed. Of I want to live in the renewing flow of Jesus.

If your meek you will inherit the earth. One day Jesus is going to restore to the meek the earth and in that day it goes to the meek. We are going to live here and be in a earth with no sin. One day the earth will be in the righteous hands of the Lord.

I need to be gentle in my witness. I am kind of brash and that drives sinners away. If I am gentle then I am going to win more people to Jesus and people are going to see the Lord in my life and my heart. I do not want to drive them to away but I want to be a gentle man and one that leads others to Jesus

mourn sinners

Well another day and nothing got done. I went to best buy and saw the thing I wanted was not there and same with target. I hate best buy they are way to mnuch for what they sell.

I want to jump into the word tonight. I am going in the sermon Jesus preached on the mount. I am working on this verse tonight

Blessed are those who mourn,
For they shall be comforted.

Happy are those who mourn. What this is a conderdiction? Jesus is talking about a sober type of life. I just found some notes Pastor Mark did on the topic I hope. Mourn over what? Why do we need to mourn? Mainly due to the truth that we are sinners and have offended the Lord. We ought to be sad when we sin. People that sin and feel good are not ones that are saved or there is a major thing they have to deal with. It was my sins that ought to send me to Hell but the Lord in pure mercy has made a plan to die for me and take the Hell for me. It was a painful thing to think Jesus payed so high of a price for me and sins. God came to me to offer me and us salvation and heaven. It makes my heart happy I am going to be in heaven and that is great yet we need to think of the sin we do as killing the Lord.

I think in our sin we need to find comfort in the Lord that he paid for it and grace is givwen to me and I am free to not sin. I do not ever want to sin and hurt the Lord yet I need to balance this with the Joy of heaven. This is a result in confort we are saved. Also as a person that has been forgiven I ought to forgive and set free anyone that has sinned with me.

How ought we Mourn

We need to remove things that make sin good to us. We need to hate sin and get to a point that it makes us sick to do it and ask Jesus to truely remove it. Not like just forgive it but move it out of our lifes. I need to fill my mind with the Lords word and fight tempting thing. We need to hate sin and stop going to it. We need to know that sin is horrid and repent then pray to tyhe Lord for the power not to sin. If we do not I know our lifes are going to be ineffective for Jesus and we are not going to win the lost.

Point for tonight Mourn over sin and be glad if you know the Lord your forgiven

Y did God kill 50,000

I got a thought on the earthquake tonight. I am sad due to the mass of death. Over 50,000 have died in the biggest natural disaster in my life time. A earthquake made waves that killed all the people. I ask and am going to explain Why did God allow or perhaps send this mass of death. Hey it is a fair thing to ask I think and maybe we can learn something.

First did the Lord know or send this disaster. I know this God knows all there is to know and he knew this would happen. He made the earth and he has the right to do as he wants. But the bible said the Lord is not a evil person and will not do evil. God has said that all things will work out for them who love him and the bible said God is not willing to let people repent. Yet he rules the nature and the weather. Jesus also knew all the people that died and he choose to let them die. Jesus knows me and I will die. One app is I never can know the time of my death and neither can you. Lets live to tell the good news and clean up our lives and be right.

Second Why does God allow us to live. We are sinners and at anytime Jesus has the right to kill us for sinning. It is a act of God that your alive, It is grace that you got a computer and grace that you can read. God could of made you blind and does not have to allow you to have the job you have. God has the right to kill you for 1 sin. So is it right to question God. I kind of do. It makes me sad and fearful for this.

I think of all the missions that are over there. How many people knew Jesus and had a life in heaven and how many are in Hell. I know it is hard to think of this and it makes me urge people to get saved and do it tonight. Friend we never know do we really. You could be driving and get hit. Death is real and so in Heaven and Hell. Reggie white died at 43. He is another night but he died so young. People you just cannot take life for granted. If your not enjoying life your missing out. Friend do not take another day and risk death. Live and enjoy life

I must talk on the Vikes tonight. I am sad we are keeping Tice. We need to fire him and find a better man to coach our team. But if we make the playoffs then I might be ok with the move.

Here is a Bible study on Death

Why do people die?
Sin
Consequence of sin.
Gen 2:17 but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.”

It is not and was not going to be till sin came into the world. People did not die as fast till the sins got worse. If sin were not in the race humans. Jesus however ended death for people who come to him

Here is tonight's line. Death is a for sure thing prepare for it

Christmas week

Hey all you that read this, Christs birth has come and gone and it is almost time for the Masters College week in January. I got a ton of money, a calender, a camera that is not working and time with the fam. It was a good christmas and the Lord was honored. I know I got to go to Victory Baptist and heard a good singer Jenny. I love to listen to operalike singing by gals. It is a good thing. I am still thinking how I am going to spend the cash I got and get things I like. I am going to get a bible on csd so I am able to listen to it and some tapes from Pastor John on the masters trip.

I am not sure I want to do this study on the sermon of the mount because I already have done it. I am going to start it and keep on it till I am tried but it is good to go in to the word over and over. It is a grand thing to work in the word each time I am typeing because it helps me to study and grow.

Tonight I start a series on the Blessed are statements.
3 “Blessed are the poor in spirit,
For theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Blessed means happy or blessed. There is but one thing that makes a person happy and that is a reletionship with Jesus. Sure you might think it makes you happy to do this or that but if your not filled in Jesus your happyness is going to end. Jesus is the only thing that can fill you because he is the filler. Giod made you with a hole in your heart and you go out and fill it with the things that make you think your happy. Jesus begins a sermon by shareing the truths that will make you happy or blessed.

So the first thing to be happy in the Lord is to decare you are poor in the Spirit and you have nothing to give. Poor is not to be with no cash but is a condition. Jesus has to be the source of the soul and if he is not your not going to be in the kingdom. It it nessary for you to declare all your working to make yourself right with God to be no good. Listen and this is a truth I am going to defend. You do not go to heaven for being good. Good is never the goal, rather the goal is to ask the Lord to make his home in your life. YOUR A SINNER AND POOR ANYHOW. Why try to get into heaven on your own?

To be Poor is to be begging and humble. Lets look at some things to test this

1 AM I anything? DO I trust in the Lord or me?
2 Are you into the Lords care and looking to him. You ought to be lost in Jesus and not into you. Jesus has given his life for you on the Cross. You either love him or love you.
3 Do you complain or are you content. I got to work on this myself. Do I give my all to the master in all my hard times.
4 If I am poor do I pray for all I have and need? In my heart do I pray like I am poor and needy. Do I confess and beg forgiveness of sin?
5 Do I take Jesus and not give all of me? Do I come to Jesus on his terms or mine?
I need to come knowing it is on Jesus terms and not mine.

How to save the ss pot and Jesus walks all over the place

How do we fix the broken system of taxes? Here are some ideas. First make a flat tax of 15 percent on all income and pass laws to make the state only charge 5 percent. Then all the people in the land get one account where they put 50 a month into a retirement account. That is pre tax and never is paid on. If you do this you can withdraw if your kid needs education or you die and then your will said where it goes. If you please then you can put more into a account for your own. If you want we can start a plan for health to that costs us 50 a month and all buy into it. I think that saving cash and investing is where we need to put our money. I also think it might not be right to stop working for a Christian. We need to serve the Lord all the days of our life and never stop till we get there and then we rest. If you want to work for the Lord when you retire then do it. We all need people that are old in the faith to teach the young.

Here is tonights study

23 And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease among the people. 24 Then His fame went throughout all Syria; and they brought to Him all sick people who were afflicted with various diseases and torments, and those who were demon-possessed, epileptics, and paralytics; and He healed them. 25 Great multitudes followed Him—from Galilee, and from Decapolis, Jerusalem, Judea, and beyond the Jordan.

Here it is the last study before Christmas and it is a great thing to look at. Here is some of the things Jesus did on the earth. Jesus went and taught to the Lost and told then the news. What was the news? It was that there is a redeemer and he is there to save the world from sin. It is also neat to me that God is teaching his own word to the people. It is like a author telling me what he meant. I would of loved to be there and here God talk on his word live.

Jesus also healed the people. I MUST HIT THIS. Is this to mean Jesus is healing today? I say no. Jesus did the healings to show who he was so the people could repent and believe. Some might want to say he heals today everyone. I do not fall on that side of the fence. Jesus healed to show who he was and today he does heal but it is in his mind who gets healed and when. Jesus is the healer and one day we are all going to be healed forever and forever. Healing was then for all because Jesus has that kind of power. Jesus healed all to show he is in fact GOD. He is the king and he is God.

Merry Christmas and I am going to blog if I can from Rochester. I am thankful for all the cards and gifts you send

Jesus wins souls in our faith

I realize I might not of done a goal sheet this last year. I am not sure where it is if it is. I am going to make a change to my savings. I am going to pay in 50 a check into a account. I want to make this a goal not to touch the cash I save and use it for trip and for saving. I am going to try thins lower amount to see if I put this in every check in a year or 2 my bottom line will be more. 50 will make it 150 a month and that is 1800 a year. I want to make a accout that is going to build so I have money to retire on. Or to just have.

The word for the email is Frank. If I decide to do a contest this week email me frank.

Ok some word. I hope this has been a good time in the bible for us and I am hoping to hear from you to see if I am right or wrong on the things I am learning in the word. Matthew 4

18 And Jesus, walking by the Sea of Galilee, saw two brothers, Simon called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea; for they were fishermen. 19 Then He said to them, “Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men.” 20 They immediately left their nets and followed Him.

21 Going on from there, He saw two other brothers, James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, in the boat with Zebedee their father, mending their nets. He called them, 22 and immediately they left the boat and their father, and followed Him.[1]

Here in the text tonight is the first Bible verse I learned when I was a lad. Jesus said to follow him and Jesus will make fishers of men. Here is the call of the Peter and Andrew. I did a study off line on both. Peter was a man that was close to Jesus even when he messed up. He was a fisherman (my kind of guy). Peter was fishing and Jesus wanted him to be part of the 12. Jesus had plans to allow Peter to fail all the time then go and pick him up. I can see Peter and his zest for the Lord. He wants Jesus and yet Jesus has to spank him a lot. Note that peter heard the Call and he left and followed Jesus. I can learn from this and follow the Lord and my boss when they ask me to do a task. Jesus tells me to honor him by honoring my boss. I also need to see the word and if I need to make a change I need to make it.

Also Jesus said that he is going to make me a fisher of men. I do not have to make myself if I am walking Jesus is going to give me chances to share my faith. I need more of the patience of the Lord is sharing Jesus. I need to learn more tack and more unique ways to share Jesus.

Macarthur makes some notes I want to include on soul winning. He compares soul winning with fishing We need to be patient. It might take years to win a soul. A soul winner needs to go to new places and try new ways of sharing. A soul winner is one that goes after the unsaved. He does not stay waiting to have people come to He is active in getting the net out and the word out. Soul winner only points to Jesus and stays out of the Lord way. We are a tool and Jesus does the work in us and though us. A soul winner has guts to share the faith. They might get into a talk about life and not work to bring the talk to the Lord. I need to work hard on this point and not push it on others. You push they are going to run. If you love and be a friend you got a chance. I need to learn how to be a better pal.

Tips on how Jesus did it. Jesus was always there for people. He had time to train people and no one was too small for him to share with. Jesus did not show favor to anyone, Jesus shared with the poor and the rich. Jesus has time for you if you’re a drunk and want him and if you’re a billionaire. Jesus always gave to the needs if he was asked to. He knew the open heart and the hard heart. Jesus had a testimony. If you and I want to share Jesus we got to live right. You cannot lead if one does not follow them.

SO allow the Lord to use you.

Jesus starts his campain

It is a good day and the Lord is alive and well. I am bored and that is my fault. I am not going to say merry Christmas at work I am going to say happy season. I am sad about that but what can I really do nothing really. I am needing the money and they need my service and wherever I go it is going to be the same. The world hates the Lord and I am in it and hate it but he is going to be lifted up in all anyhow.

What is your favorite color of ice cream? I want to write things to open here to make you get to know me. I thing the best ice cream there is Cholate chip. It is better than any kind of ice cream. It is spotted white. I guess I like white and spots on them.

I started to read the bible in a year to see If I will stick to it. I am in the book of Gen. But I want to go all the way and read the Lords word. I want to know what the Lord has to say and worship him alone.

Here is tonight’s Bible thought

12 Now when Jesus heard that John had been put in prison, He departed to Galilee. 13 And leaving Nazareth, He came and dwelt in Capernaum, which is by the sea, in the regions of Zebulun and Naphtali, 14 that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying:

15 “The land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali,

By the way of the sea, beyond the Jordan,

Galilee of the Gentiles:

16 The people who sat in darkness have seen a great light,

And upon those who sat in the region and shadow of death

Light has dawned.”

17 From that time Jesus began to preach and to say, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.”[1]

I have said it before that the book of Matthew was written to show you the truth that Jesus is the king. All over this book we find that he is going to use the old to prove Jesus is the king. Jesus here is placed in a real place at a real time. The place is the land of Zebulun and the Land of Naphtali. It is north of the Sea of Galilee. John has been arrested and the Lord takes over. His place right now is on a trade route.

I make this short but in this passage I see the prophet and Matthew pointing the Lord and the light of the world. Jesus is the Light. When Jesus walks and tells people and myself he is the light it means to me that his eyes can see the sin of the world. Also I think of Jesus coming to a world of darkness and void. Jesus came to bring light and a hope to me and forgive me of all my sins. People in the world are sinner and there was no hope of the Lord. Now there is light and hope for anyone who turns to Jesus, I guess I do not buy into there is light only to the elect. Jesus call is for anyone and everyone. Death has been done away with and now Jesus is the light to the dark word. If we call on Jesus he gives the light to show us sin and the way to know God.

So the word is there for our hope and that word is repent. I repeat myself in this words definition. Repent is to turn to Jesus and from sin. It means you agree you’re a sinner and you turn from the sin and to the grace of God. It also means you do not sin again. You’re done with sin. No you will sin and Jesus will forgive you but your freedom and light is the truth you do not have to sin and you learn not to sin.

Here is a Easton Bible Def

Repentance

There are three Greek words used in the New Testament to denote repentance.

(1.) The verb metamelomai is used of a change of mind, such as to produce regret or even remorse on account of sin, but not necessarily a change of heart. This word is used with reference to the repentance of Judas (Matt. 27:3).

(2.) Metanoeo, meaning to change one’s mind and purpose, as the result of after knowledge.

(3.) This verb, with the cognate noun metanoia, is used of true repentance, a change of mind and purpose and life, to which remission of sin is promised.

Evangelical repentance consists of (1) a true sense of one’s own guilt and sinfulness; (2) an apprehension of God’s mercy in Christ; (3) an actual hatred of sin (Ps. 119:128; Job 42:5, 6; 2 Cor. 7:10) and turning from it to God; and (4) a persistent endeavour after a holy life in a walking with God in the way of his commandments.

The true penitent is conscious of guilt (Ps. 51:4, 9), of pollution (Ps. 51:5, 7, 10), and of helplessness (Ps. 51:11; 109:21, 22). Thus he apprehends himself to be just what God has always seen him to be and declares him to be. But repentance comprehends not only such a sense of sin, but also an apprehension of mercy, without which there can be no true repentance (Ps. 51:1; 130:4).

Jesus vs the devil

5 Then the devil took Him up into the holy city, set Him on the pinnacle of the temple, 6 and said to Him, “If You are the Son of God, throw Yourself down. For it is written:

‘He shall give His angels charge over you,’

and,

In their hands they shall bear you up,

Lest you dash your foot against a stone.’ ”

7 Jesus said to him, “It is written again, ‘You shall not tempt the Lord your God.’ ”[1]\

I am going to work on a bible talk tonight. I am looking at the temptation in the desert of Jesus. Devil takes Jesus to a high point of the temple and the devil asked him to throw himself into the mercy of God and let them catch him. Jesus is God and God is his father so it would have been done. Instead the Lord turned to the Father and trusted in him. He is not going to test the Love of God and tempt him.

What did Jesus teach me here I think it is not good to look for the Lord to prove himself to me. He has proven himself for me. He saved me and his word has lived and proven himself to me. His word is his word and proof that he is there. To tempt the Lord is to make him go outside his word and do it again. That is not right and fair. God for example said he is going to meet all my needs according to his riches in Jesus. I ought to do my part and work hard. I need to know when I work hard and right Gods provision is going to be there. I need to also save and handle money right so if I lose pay I am covered. It is all from the Lord and he is going to provide the things I need and he always has. I do not need to sit here and worry because Jesus is going to meet my needs and he is going to lead me to the Job I need.

8 Again, the devil took Him up on an exceedingly high mountain, and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory. 9 And he said to Him, “All these things I will give You if You will fall down and worship me.”

10 Then Jesus said to him, “Away with you, Satan! For it is written, ‘You shall worship the Lord your God, and Him only you shall serve.’ ”

11 Then the devil left Him, and behold, angels came and ministered to Him.[2]

Jesus has to stand up to the evil one and show he is better and He is the one. I must note that the Lord does not have the world right now. It is the evils ones and he kind off gets it till it is taken back from him. One that lives in this world is under thew control of the evil system. Jesus is going to have it back in his time and fix this world up at the end of time. So the power to hand the world to the Lord is right. He has the power and the Lord could have had the earth if he would of bowed to the devil. Jesus did not. He was not a sinner then and never will. Jesus being the perfect son went to the cross and bought the entire world. He did not take it easy, Jesus died and lost his soul and sinless body on the cross and died. Jesus then got his life back and one day he will hold the world in his care forever. Jesus obeyed and his reward will be all there is.

Jesus does not mess around here he demands the devil leave him and Jesus had the right to do that. Jesus always is the Lord and he is above all, Jesus is the most powerful and he had the right in the spirit world to demand the Evil one to leave him alone. We also have a right in Jesus to tell the evil one to leave us alone. Devils have no rights and in Jesus we have rights to tell him to leave us alone. I have the blood of Jesus and in the end I am forever going to be away from the devil. That is alone good news and worth salvation and heaven.

Shadmans thoughts of shareing Jesus with people

I got some shopping done tonight for my uncle Terry. I am getting him a movie. Or am I? I am not saying because I hope that he reads parts of my blog. I went to the mall and it really was not that busy. I am kind of shocked but the online market is here and I hope others are going to the net for Christmas shopping and making the government not tax the lights out of our Christmas shopping. If you really want to know what I want it is this link. http://www.christianbook.com/Christian/Books/product?item_no=54462&netp_id=254972&event=EBRN&item_code=WW

I hope someone gets this for me so I can have it on file to read and study the Old Testament. I know I am asking but it costs 60 bucks. I am hoping to get money also for my upcoming trip to California. I am hoping it gets cold soon so I am able to escape cold below weather that is nasty. Now to the Bible.

Ok I heard a sermon that hit home with me last Sunday. I want to keep on this topic and just let us see a part of the bible and the truth that it brings out. I have a wonderful family and I love them all. My cousin does not want to hear the bible preached and that is fine. She said there is no proof the bible is real. (There are tons that she wont look at) I will get to that in a series I hope to do sometime. But to say there is no proof is so funny when tonight I am going to prove it. Ok Shell if you’re reading this checks this out.

Luke 12 9I came to set fire to the earth, and I wish it were already on fire! 50I am going to be put to a hard test. And I will have to suffer a lot of pain until it is over. 51Do you think that I came to bring peace to earth? No indeed! I came to make people choose sides. 52A family of five will be divided, with two of them against the other three. 53Fathers and sons will turn against one another, and mothers and daughters will do the same. Mothers-in-law and daughters-in-law will also turn against each other.

Now come on here it said in a book that is not true just the thing that is going on? Is this not what is going on. Jesus nails it ROGHT ON THE HEAD. Bible is true and people are not going to agree on it is right in the bible. It is calling the truth is it not. Ok another one. I feel not alone Even the family of JESUS thought he was nuts Mark 3.

21When Jesus' family heard what he was doing, they thought he was crazy and went to get him under control.

Here is a point in the Bible where I think it has truth and it proves itself. Would not you think that the bible if it were made up would not have the family of Jesus agree with him? It is odd to say they thought he was nuts right? They wanted him to stop and not be so fruitcake like. If your going to make a faith up would you not want to make the founder look bad? This is a point where I think with some common sense and thought you might get a new though on the bible.

One more passage Matthew 10 35-36

34Don't think that I came to bring peace to the earth! I came to bring trouble, not peace. 35I came to turn sons against their fathers, daughters against their mothers, and daughters-in-law against their mothers-in-law. 36Your worst enemies will be in your own family.

I umm well aah

It is true and the Lord is predicting the things that go on in families. People if you are being attacked at home for your walk and thoughts I think it is good because YOUR DOING IT RIGHT. Jesus does not say it is going to be easy.

NOTE Do not be stupid about this and make them hate you. Love your families and if they do not want Jesus honor them. I have to learn this to. Love them and honor them. I would even say just be a witness and a quiet one. Make them want what you got. I was won to Jesus because they showed a life that I wanted and people that loved them did the job of making me want Jesus. I am not good at this I want to cram it and that will not make them want your Lord. Just love Jesus and Love them. Let him share his love in you with them. I am not going to bring the bible up at home but it will come up. I do not need to preach it I need to live it. If I live the life Jesus will come and make times to share him. Also do not compromise because the second you do they see it and your not going to make it. Ok Tell me how your non saved family is doing and pray for mine

Nhl Lockout

I want to take the night off so I will in a way. I got tons of things on my mind. I want to make a update tonight on the NHL Lockout. I am sad they did not get it done. I thought they might of did it. I got the feeling the teams are not going to play. I am sad because this is going to hurt the sport if it does not kill it. Ice Hockey is not a popular sport and I think it just is not going to go in the southern usa. I just looked and the league made a offer. Man if you’re a hockey fan lets hope the get it done. I just want to see hockey this year. It is sad to think the players are not going to play.

Red Soxs and a study on the Temptation

People in master land I am coming to the truth and life thing there in January. It is a month away till I land there and I am looking forward to hearing the Mac man and meeting you all and going to a masters ball game. Today I got my film from 2 years ago and there are some great photos of the team. Looking into making a photo page but I need a scanner. Pray for that.

In the Magazine Sports Illustrated one I am getting they named the Boston Red Sox the sports men of the year. I could not agree more. Being an anti Yankee fan I am glad they broke the curse and won the World series. I watched some of the series my self. It was a great team effort. I did however kind of wanted to see Larry Walker win the ring for the fact I like Walker. I got to see the Rockies play the cubs on a trip to Chicago and it was not a good night for him. Walker has done well in his life. Larry has had a career 313 aver. He played for Expos and the Rockies. I guess the thing I like is the humor he showed at the all-star game. He was in a home run hitting contest and he moved and out on his helmet backwards and it was fun. Back to the sox’s. I remember my aunt Sadie one night teaching me the game cribrige and we saw the Red Sox Play. It was fun to see them win it all. I like Jonnie Damon because he looked so mean yet he was the most peaceful talk on the team.

Here is tonights bible thoughts. I am working right now in the book of Mathew. We are going to go to the 4th chapter

Matthew 4 Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. 2 And when He had fasted forty days and forty nights, afterward He was hungry. 3 Now when the tempter came to Him, he said, “If You are the Son of God, command that these stones become bread.”

4 But He answered and said, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.’”[1]

I start in this passage tonight thinking about being tempted to do wrong. As a man that wants to do right I often do the wrong thing and sin, I always have the choice not to sin. Jesus gives the power to not sin but it is hard to deny things to me and to not be self centered. I say this and look at the fact that even the Son of God was faced with a time that he could of chose to sin. Jesus it said was tempted in his life. One comforting thin is this that Jesus took every kind of this on. He was tempted in all kinds of ways and in this book we will see it all over the place. But in Hebrews it said

15 For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin.[2]

Jesus plainly had things that were hard and he faced them and never lost. Jesus knows what it is like to want to sin and Jesus relates with us. He knows the power sin has and yet he has the power not to sin. We also have that power. We have Jesus inside of us and we can walk away from the sins that entangle us.

In the first thing the devil wanted Jesus to turn a stone into bread and make his flesh feel good. Jesus would not and he makes a great statement to me. He said the word of God is bread. Every word the Lord said is bread for our souls and our hearts. I think the Bible is the word of God. Every bit of the bible is the word of God and only the bible is the word of God. But I know people like me run to everything but the word to get our needs met. People read Dr Phil. They go and work millions of hours and come home and hate the Job. People try to save money and think that makes them happy. Jesus said here the word of God can make you happy and successful. I know you might say Why does the Shadman always talk about the bible and I say this is the life giving word to success. I want to know Jesus and want this book to rule my life. Jesus gave me all I ever needed in the bible and I intend to read it and know it,

Shadman

Chirstians are being killed

Do you know I have been thinking a ton today? In church this morning Pastor talked about the truth that many places in the world ban the preaching of the Bible. I want to show you infront of your eyes a thing or 2 to prove the bible has to be right. I want you to know that Jesus did not come to bring peace between the family. Matter of fact Listen to the things Jesus said.

Matt 10 34 “Do not think that I came to bring peace on earth. I did not come to bring peace but a sword. 35 For I have come to ‘set a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law’; 36 and ‘a man’s enemies will be those of his own household.’ 37 He who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me. And he who loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me[1]

I know I am going to have to face people that are anti Jesus and the Bible. Is it a funny thing to see it in the bible? In the nations of the world people are dieing for the cause of Jesus. In China it is a jailable thing to convert to the Lord Jesus. In Iran and much of the Muslim world you convert you are going to lose your family. In the our land I know of cases where the government is tring to allow all other faiths to declare and get into the class room but they took the 10 commands out of the classrooms. In Duluth MN the courts said they could not display the commandments on the lawn of the courthouse. It is terrible thing that in Saint Cloud the kids cannot sing carols that name Jesus BUT Muslims have a prayer room so they can worship. I wonder why and the bible tells us why in this passage. They are one day going to arrest people in this land for having the Bible. In some lands they already do. People all over this planet tonight are living in Jails for the crime of Christian worship and reading the bible. If you think I am wrong I got the truth and I will send you a link.

http://www.persecution.com

go to this site and learn the truth and see I am fighting for a real bible and a real person in Jesus and also see a thing the Lord Jesus said that would happen.

Shadmans likes his sports

I am a little miffed. I mean the last 2 Vikings games have been so poorly played. I am a fan and I am sticking to my team but they are really a disappointment this year. For one they have no D. If you want to win in the nfl then you got to play D. We have nothing and my uncle bill put it best that we need to draft a corner and a backfield for the D. Seattle a few times tonight just took and exposed the sides were we are not covering. I do think I will call the playoffs now. Hopefully the Packers go and get out in the first round. As for my Vikings we need to miss them and Mike Tice needs to leave so we can get a coach. As for the others I think the AFC is going to have the power the super bowl. I think they should have the Colts and the Steelers play for the whole thing. I like the eagles and the stealers. But the Colts ought to win it all. I am a sports fan. Matter of fact I love to sit and watch sports over most things. I have been to games in all the pro sports you can think of. I love ice Hockey and wish the NHL would get playing. I mean find a way. Just play the games. Bring in the minors but play the game. I love baseball. I never will forget the times I got to see the Cubs play at Wrigley field, what a great park. We sat 5 rows of the field for a bit and they were sweet seats. I saw a player put pine tar on the bat. I love the twins and think they ought to beat the Yankees every time they play. I hate the white sox and the tigers. I love the NBA. I love to see the Lakers lose. I love the wolves. I go to a game every year. I loved Jordan and the Bulls when he played for them. He could of won 9 more years. I make time to see wolves win love it when they do. I love the Lynx’s and they got a great idea to fill the stands of the NBA in the summer. I still think Erin Buescher was fun to watch. I hope she comes back and wins a ring. I love the SCSU hockey team. I am sad this year and hope they keep building. I go to games and try to get freed tickets and it makes my week to see them play. I love the fights and hope the other team loses. I hate the Gophers because I am a Husky fan. Oh what a sad weekend to see the rodents win 2 in a row. I take off and call in sick to see the final five if we got a chance. I love the Masters College Mustangs. They play in Santa Clarita CA, but I love them. They are all ladies that love the Lord. I love to see them win. I follow2 them online.

Once again I welcome you to my life and my blog. If you’re reading this I am honored. I want to hit a couple of things and if I got time I will share from the word. I have considered a weekend type of flash back on things I did in my life. Leslie Werner was a friend of mine all in high school. I thought she was it. Leslie moved into our neighborhood in the 5th grade. She was a tomboy. She liked to fish and hunts and was an outdoor person. She also loved Jesus and she was not shy about it. I made friends with her. I have no idea where she is tonight but I know she was a friend for longer than I know. I got to go to church with her a few times and she was still a tomboy. She grew up and was saved in 5th grade at a meeting I think is Arkansas.

Nice lady I went to her wedding and her Curt died and I miss him. I miss his humor and his smile. He got saved in college.

No more beating around the bush I need to clear up something to you all. The other night I posted a blog on the Gays. I was wrong because I did say things that will not win them. I have had a friend that was gay. His name is Joe and he is a fun man to work with. He is a tech on computers. I rode with him and he is a nice person. I also said gays go to hell. I am not right there either. I am not the Lord and I cannot judge your salvation. Jesus is the clear way and he is going to call you into account. Every human being I think is going to stand before Jesus Christ and he alone will tell you where you are going forever, If you simply call on Jesus at anytime in your life to forgive you from sins your saved. I am not going say that anyone makes heaven because they do not. The bible is for me the truth and in my mind one must read it and choose. Actually you choose where you go.

What I am about to say will not be popular. I just have to say this. If one does not love and adore God then you’re not going to like Heaven. Heaven is all about the Lord Jesus and not us. Jesus is not going to force you to make a choice for him. God is a respecter of persons. He is a gentleman; if you choose to think he is not there he is fine with that. To me that is the only thing that matters my life in Jesus. That is why it makes me sad people do not choose Jesus and they pollute the DAY. Jesus is the reason. I however am one person and this is MY thought. I own every one of them. I am a bible-centered man and I will not change. I do not hate anyone and I like to know others points of view. I believe God is holy and I am not and Jesus died so I am able to come to God.

Here is a bible thought

John has just preached a sermon and now Jesus is going to be dunked by John.

13 Then Jesus came from Galilee to John at the Jordan to be baptized by him. 14 And John tried to prevent Him, saying, “I need to be baptized by You, and are You coming to me?”

15 But Jesus answered and said to him, “Permit it to be so now, for thus it is fitting for us to fulfill all righteousness.” Then he allowed Him.

Jesus comes to John in the desert to be baptized; He is the king yet he is here asking to be dunked. John in my view thought of Jesus here as the great Prophet. I say that thinking of the time when John is in jail and he asked some to ask Jesus to tell them if He is the one to come. Jesus here is showing us that he was here to do what God asked. So Is in important to be baptized to be saved? A lot of thoughts on this. I do not think it is a issue that saved Jesus. It was a part of the law of that time. I do not think a baby can be baptized because they are not able to make a choice. Baptism is a sign that you had Jesus come into your heart. If your saved then get baptizes. If you were baptized as a baby and follow the Lord and understood at the time all Jesus did for you good. If you were not baptized talk to your local pastor. I am not one. Learn your faith and follow it. I think you ask Jesus into your heart and then you get baptized. Jesus did it to show a example for us. He did it when he knew the meaning. I think you ought to know the meaning and seek your pastor on this.

16 When He had been baptized, Jesus came up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened to Him, and He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting upon Him. 17 And suddenly a voice came from heaven, saying, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.”[1]

Next issue is this. Jesus is God. Out of the sky the spirit is showing the people and us He is the Son and God is pleased in Jesus, What a relationship they have. They are deeply in love with each other and Jesus is one with God. God loved Jesus more than all. What a awesome though to think God gave his best to save us. Jesus became a man to die and he died to show that. That is what baptism shows. Jesus lived Jesus died and Jesus rose.

A sermon of John the baptist!

I was confronted today on a couple things on the blog. I want to know if I write something that offends or is wrong. Feel free to email me or tell me in the comments section. I want you to come here and read my bible thoughts and think for yourself. I am not working this to make one mad so they do not come here I want you to be here every week and know my heart and the Word.

I want to do tonight’s study. I am going in the first part of Mathew and I am in the part about the greatest man that ever lived. John was the cousin to the Lord Jesus. He was a humble man and he told it like it was. Here is a sermon that John might of preached.

7 But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees coming to his baptism, he said to them, “Brood of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the wrath to come?

In the time of Jesus the men that did not really understand were the Pharisee and the Sadducees. They felt like the Jewish people did not really need Jesus and fought the Good news of Jesus coming to save the sinners of the world. They were a class all by them self’s. It was not good to think they were sinners and they never thought they needed Jesus. People are not going to go out and seek help when they do not see they need it. The bible said that if you break one Law of God your not in fellowship. The Leader came that day and did not fill the requirement and that is to repent for you sins. I need to repent and change me. I had to come to a point of saying my sins were not ok and I needed a solution. Wrath means the sepratetion from God. Think of it if you did not want to come to the Lord why would he force you.

8 Therefore bear fruits worthy of repentance, 9 and do not think to say to yourselves, ‘We have Abraham as our father.’ For I say to you that God is able to raise up children to Abraham from these stones.

Abe was the father of the Jews. Johns remarks that they think just because you a Jew then your going to be ok. God did not need anything else you kind of inherit the Lord and you get to have all the things like heaven. John does not baptize them because they did not have the deeds to prove they were Jews and followed the Lord. God does not need anyone. Here is a shocking thing to think, God did not need you saved. God saved people out of pure Love and Grace. He does it to display his awesome love and pity. We are all sinners, I am a sinner and I deserve to burn yet Jesus paid my sins off and I am going to heaven.

10 And even now the ax is laid to the root of the trees. Therefore every tree which does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 11 I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance, but He who is coming after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire. 12 His winnowing fan is in His hand, and He will thoroughly clean out His threshing floor, and gather His wheat into the barn; but He will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.”[1]

John gets brutal. He tells the leaders that if they do not produce they are not going to be happy. John wants to baptize people that repent. It means to turn from your sins to Jesus. It means to change your mind and heart. Then John talks about the Lord Jesus. Jesus is the Lord God and no one is worthy to touch him. Jesus is the one that is going to set things right. Jesus is going to baptize with the Holy Spirit. It means the holy Lord is going to indwell people and actually live in us. He is going to clean us and mold us to be like God. God is perfect.

Dealing with killers and christians that sin

Ok I will work on a small writing. In the news the trail of Scott Peterson has went to the jury and they are deciding if it is right to kill him or keep him locked up for life. I am not a fan of keeping murders alive. If you kill you ought to pay with your own life. I realize some think I am not a man of mercy. I am not in killers are free. If you lock them up give them one meal a day and no human interaction ever again. They sit in a cell 24 a day forever till they haul out the killers body. No books and no people ever. No mail for them no books and no nothing. It is hard time and they eat one food idea forever. They are there for the rest of life.

They do get a Gospel of John and 1 bible. Nothing else and they sit forever.

Here is a bible talk for tonight I am going to try to do. It is the Lords talk on how to solve problems with brothers and sisters in the faith. It is a major thing that we need to do in the church. It is sad that as brothers we conflict and bicker over things. Here is the Lords solution for the Church. We need to follow the Lords commands in this topic and if we do the Lord is going to bless the church in the little and big sense.

15 “Moreover if your brother sins against you, go and tell him his fault between you and him alone. If he hears you, you have gained your brother. 16 But if he will not hear, take with you one or two more, that ‘by the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established.’ 17 And if he refuses to hear them, tell it to the church. But if he refuses even to hear the church, let him be to you like a heathen and a tax collector.

Here are the orders from the Lord. If one sins we go and tell him he has sinned and need to get right with Jesus I note here that Jesus forgave the sin when you are forgiven and it is over. You also forgive when the person confesses and then it is over. If this happens you are out of the loop in the displaine issues. They do not proceed because the sin is out and forgiven. What is a sin? It is falling short of the word of God. It is not doing something or failing to so it right. Every time one sins he is out of the fellowship with the Lord and needs to restore it in confessing and accepting his forgiveness.

If you go to the person and he does not want to get right or thinks the sin is ok then you proceed to the next step and that is you go and take some others with you. It is key to make sure the Lord is in it. I want to say this that if the job of this is not to make one feel good about himself or to improve his life. It is about taking the word of God and teaching it rightly. If I say it is ok to be a gay I am not right with the Lord. If you are gay and the people confront you and there is no repenting then the church has to take up the thing. If one is sleep around the church is called to take steps to get you to repent and get right with Jesus.

If you did not get in them in the meeting with 2 or 3 Jesus said to take it to the church and let the local church go and try to win them. A LOCAL CHURCH is the local fellowship and it does not leave this. It is the highest government for the body. It is not right to say the church does not get to go outside of it. A LOCAL CHURCH is the fellowship you go to and are a member of. If the sinner does not repent you KICK him out of the body until he repents. If the person is a gay REMOVE TILL HE REPENTS. If he is a drunk REMOVE TILL he goes to treatment and repents and gets right with Jesus. Itr is harsh but Jesus made the rules I did not. If he repents you take him in and he is forgiven and he is restored. THE GOAL IS TO GET HIM TO REPENT It is Jesus who does not want to lose one sinner. Look at the part right before. He is going to leave all to get the sinner to repent and get right. God does not want to lose one person.

18 “Assuredly, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.

19 “Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven. 20 For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.”[1]

This passage does not let you forgive sins. ONLY JESUS does that. Here is what I think. Jesus gives his blessing to the one that makes calls on earth that are with the bible.

John the baptist

Mathew 3 time

3 In those days John the Baptist came preaching in the wilderness of Judea, 2 and saying, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand!” 3 For this is he who was spoken of by the prophet Isaiah, saying:

“The voice of one crying in the wilderness:

‘Prepare the way of the Lord;

Make His paths straight.’ ”

John the Baptist was the cousin of Jesus. He was the one whom led to the King. Here is a man that the Lord Jesus called the greatest man that ever lived. Of all the Old Testament the Lord saw John the Baptist the Greatest man that ever lived. John was a man that did not live a life that made him rich, He was a preacher that made it clear. God is not into your sin and you need to repent and change your life. Johns message like his life was simple.

4 Now John himself was clothed in camel’s hair, with a leather belt around his waist; and his food was locusts and wild honey. 5 Then Jerusalem, all Judea, and all the region around the Jordan went out to him 6 and were baptized by him in the Jordan, confessing their sins.[1]

John was not one that was into being in style. He hung out in the wild and dressed in camel’s skins and he had a leather belt. He did not eat the best diet either he ate locust and honey. But he was focused on his mission and that was to prepare the people for a King and that was Jesus. John did what we need to do, get our life right and get ready for Jesus to work in it. John did not mess around, he knows Gods will for his life and he did it. I see that John was humble. He did not live a life that the people are living today. Look at Benny Hinn, he lives in a home that is millions of dollars and John lived in the wild. How come people follow people like Hinn does not live the life. John the Baptist lived a life that was righteous. If you were to be baptized by John you had to repent and believe.

Six things demonstrate the true greatness of John.

(1) He was filled with and controlled by the Spirit, even from “his mother’s womb” (Luke 1:15b).

John was controlled in the Lord. He did not walk out of the spirit He was in the Lord and kept his sin account clean. We need to always be controlled in the Lord. We do that by keeping our nose in the bible and praying confessing to God all our sins.

(2) He was obedient to God’s Word. From childhood he followed God’s will, and from it he never wavered.

We learn we need to keep in the word and follow it, We do not need wavier but we keep walking in the word and obey it all our life’s. If we come to know Jesus early in life no need to go astray because we are blessed to stay true to the call of the Lord. What a testomny for the folks those come to the Lord and stay true.

(3) He was self-controlled, drinking neither “wine or liquor” (Luke 1:15a). In his food, dress, and life-style he was temperate and austere.

Is drinking a sin? I think it is unwise and I wont do it. It is not that it is sin it is it looks bad. We ought not use any drugs unless they are a need. Drinking in the growing Christian is not a good thing. Do not do it.

(4) He was humble. His purpose was to announce the king, not to act kingly or take for himself any of the king’s prerogatives. Speaking of Jesus, John said, “After me One is coming who is mightier than I, and I am not fit to stoop down and untie the thong of His sandals” (Mark 1:7), and on a later occasion, “He must increase, but I must decrease” (John 3:30).

John does not hog any kind of glory. He gives it all to the Lord. If I say it was me and not Jesus I am taking his rightful glory. I want to give him all the glory. Jesus is God and I need to honor that.

5) He courageously and faithfully proclaimed God’s Word, thundering it across the wilderness as long as he was free to preach, to whomever would listen.

We need to live in a way that makes others ask us y. Jesus did not ask me to go to work and condemn he asked me to be faithful to his call and that is to live alone for him and draw others. I am not the one working it is Jesus using my life to make his word known.

(6) Finally, he was faithful in winning people to Christ, in turning “back many of the sons of Israel to the Lord their God” (Luke 1:16). He stands as a pattern for all who seek genuine greatness.

He won souls. I want to win souls to. In the bible it said it is wise to win souls to the Lord and really is there a better thing to win a soul for all times. We do not win them Jesus wins them.

Shadman Live like John

History on this date and a lit bible study

It is a history day. On this day in 1990 I began working at otc. It was my first day of work ever. I sat by bill that day and I have been working ever since. Also in 1941 our great nation was attacked by Japan. We lost more life on this day due to war till the attack in New York. It was a awful thing to thing a sovern nation hit this free land. Many men went to defend this land in that war and many died in that. I Praise the Lord for this land and the freedom that is given to us. May we as a nation go back to the Lord and honor him in all we do and may we fight harder to share Jesus with the people that need him. We are blessed because Jesus know we send many out to tell the world about Jesus, I wish I did more and this is part of my work. Here is the lesion for tonight

19 Now when Herod was dead, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared in a dream to Joseph in Egypt, 20 saying, “Arise, take the young Child and His mother, and go to the land of Israel, for those who sought the young Child’s life are dead.” 21 Then he arose, took the young Child and His mother, and came into the land of Israel.

Last time I took time to look at the King in the Land when Jesus was born. Well Herod has died and the Lord tells Joe to go back to his land the land of Israel. So they went home and on the way Joe finds out the new king is a evil one to. So they end up going to a city called Nazareth. Jesus grew up here. The king in the time was Phillip who was a quiet man. So the bible tells us in the following that Jesus was going to be a Nazarene. What another clear proof Jesus is the one the people were waiting for.

A Note on the king Archelaus, He did not last long. The Romans knocked him out out of power in 5 BC and in came another king that people might know, Pilate. He killed the Lord Jesus on the cross and later killed himself. A ton of wicked kings who did not fear the things of the Lord,

22 But when he heard that Archelaus was reigning over Judea instead of his father Herod, he was afraid to go there. And being warned by God in a dream, he turned aside into the region of Galilee. 23 And he came and dwelt in a city called Nazareth, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophets, “He shall be called a Nazarene.”[1]

So I am thinking why look into all this junk. I think this is a good time to tie in that the bible we have is the very word of the living God. It is inspired and it also proves itself over and over to me. First look at the people and the history that is right on. Matthew is not making this up as he goes because Jesus is telling him what to write, Also is Matthew was making it up then how does he rate quoting a scroll that they read from in the temple all the time. Like the lie if it was one is very masterful and proves the author had done lots of planning in making this tale up.

We see later in the Bible Jesus lived and was rejected in this city.
