Assurance Versus Security

Security
When we trust in Jesus Christ, our eternal security in Christ becomes a spiritual reality whether we understand it or believe it. Ones belief in security in Christ does not make it true or false. If we have trusted in the person and work of Christ for personal salvation, security is a fact.

COMMENTS OF MINE IS CAPS. IT SAID THE FACTS ARE IF YOU GOT SAVED ITS A FACT YOUR IN HEAVEN FOREVER. GOD IS GOOD IS A FACT BUT until WE MAKE IT OURS WE DO NOT FEEL IT. WHEN I GOT SAVED I WAS TOLD TO READ THE BIBLE NO MATTER HOW I FEEL. FEELING SAVED IS NOT BEING SAVED. I SOMETIME DO NOT FEEL LIKE I AM A AMERICAN BUT I AM.
Assurance
Assurance is the confident realization of that security. It is the realization of what we have in Christ such as eternal life, forgiveness of sin, and being the object of God’s personal care as his children. Assurance has to do with our comprehension of the facts and provisions of salvation through faith in Christ. This is a crucial doctrine because, properly understood, it will touch the believer’s life in several areas. Not only does it give assurance of salvation, but with that also comes a greater assurance of God’s provision in all areas of life.
LIKE I SAID THE TRUTH IS ONE IS SAVED FOREVER. WE CAN NOT FEEL IT BUT THE LOVE OF GOD IS NOT REALLY ALL FEELINGS. WE KNOW IT IS A ACTION. JESUS DEATH IS ACTION AND EVENT THAT SHOWS HE IS GIVING THE GREATEST LOVE OF ALL. JESUS SAID GREATER LO VE IS THIS THAT ONE LAID DOWN HIS LIFE SO HE LOVED US MORE THAN ANYONE EVER DID. AND THEN HE GAVE THE FAITH AND WHEN HE GET SAVED WE HAD THE RIGHT TO BE THE CHILD OF GOD. WE ARE ADOPTED INTO A FOREVER TYPE OF THING.

He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how will He not also with Him freely give us all things?
When people do not have assurance, we should always begin by sharing the gospel to be sure they have truly trusted in Christ. Once this is confirmed, then move on to the matters of assurance.
Reasons Why People Lack Assurance
(1) People often lack assurance because they cannot remember or point to a specific time when they received Christ. Some doubt or wonder if they were ever really saved. There is a specific point in time when salvation occurs—the point when regeneration takes place. The issue for people is to know if they now really trust in the person and work of Christ. \
IT IS IMPORTANT TO HAVE the TIME AND PLACE. JESUS DID NOT ASK FOR IT BUT IF YOU HAVE TRUSTED JESUS ALONE YOUR SAVED AND IF YOU LIVE LIKE WOOLARD AND CLAIM JESUS YOUR NOT SAVED IN THE LEAST BIT. IT IS HOW YOU LIVE AND HOW JESUS CHANGES YOU THAT PROVES THE TRUTH. IF JESUS IS YOUR REASON FOR LIVING AND YOU LOVE HIM AND DO AS HE ASKS YOU YOUR SAVED. IF YOUR EARNING THE GRACE AND DOING IT YOUR WAY NO SALVATION BECAUSE JESUS DID IT ALL.

(2) People often lack assurance because they question the procedure they went through when they accepted Christ. Many evangelists and preachers emphasize the need for some form of public confession of faith like going forward at the end of a service or raising your hand. If people receive Christ privately, they may wonder if they should have made a public confession or prayed a different prayer. JESUS DID NOT DO THE ALTAR CALL, IT WAS IN OUR DAY THAT WAS TO BE. IT WAS IN THE 1900 IT CAME TO BE. IF YOU DID NOT GO FORWARD IN A SERVICE THAT IS NOT WHAT THE BIBLE IS TEACHING. SOME THINK IT IS BUT IF YOUR FAITH IS IN JESUS ALONE YOUR SAVED. GOING FORWARD MAKES NO ONE SAVED IT IS THE LORD AND YOUR HEART THAT THE SAVINGS TOOK PLACE. TO SIGN A CARD IS A GOOD THING BUT IF YOU THINK THAT IS ALL NO IT IS JESUS AND WHAT HE DID ON THE CROSS AND HOW YOU MAKE THAT APPLY IN LIFE.

(3) People often lack assurance because of struggles they have with certain sins. They wonder if a true believer would have these kinds of problems. The real problem is ignorance of man’s sinful nature, the spiritual warfare we are in, God’s means of deliverance, and the need to grow and mature in Christ. WE ALL SIN FOLKS AND SALVATION IS THE GIFT WE HAVE. WE HAVE THINGS JESUS GAVE US TO FIGHT SIN LIKE GOING TO JESUS AND ASKING FOR FORGIVENESS AND 1 JOHN 9 GRANTS FORGIVENESS EVERY TIME. FRIENDS CONFESS YOUR SINS AND THEN AS THEY TELL ME DROP IT. JESUS DIED FOR ALL YOUR SINS AND HE LOVES YOU AND PLEADS YOUR CASE AND WINS IT EVERYTIME. GET OVER IT CHILD OF GOD SINS ARE FORGVEN.

(4) The primary reason behind a lack of assurance is doctrinal misunderstanding and the consequent lack of faith in the finished work of Christ. This means a failure to understand the Word and its teaching regarding mankind, his sin and inability to work for or maintain his salvation, God’s perfect holiness, and the finished nature and sufficiency of the work of Christ.

(5) Finally, people often lack assurance because they have erroneously been taught that they should look to themselves and their works as the primary proof of their salvation. This is a major issue today. Robert Lightner writes:
Those who think the sinner must make Christ Lord of his life, or at least promise to do so, before he can be saved make assurance rest on the evidence of a surrendered walk. MacArthur cites this as the only way a believer can be assured of his or her salvation. ‘Genuine assurance comes from seeing the Holy Spirit’s transforming work in one’s life, not from clinging to the memory of some experience.’7
So what is the proper basis for assurance? Should we look to some experience or our works? WE LOOK TO THE BIBLE AND THE TRUTH NOT TO WHAT WE DO. WE ARE NOT SAVED BY WORKS WE DID JESUS DIED FOR IT. I THINK MAC IS NOT QUOTED RIGHT IN THIS BECAUSE IF ONE IS SAVED AND IS ABLE HE WOULD LOSE IT BUT HE CANNOT LOSE IT BECAUSE JESUS HAS THE SPIRIT TO SEAL THE DEAL IN EPH.
Foundations for Assurance
The Word of God
The Word of God is God’s witness to the believer (). The Greek text includes the article with the word “life.” Salvation in Christ is not just the gift of life, but of “the life,” the one which comes only through faith in God’s unique Son. The clear declaration of Scripture is that the one who believes in Christ’s person and work on the cross as God’s provision for his sins has:
(1) Eternal life.
The one who believes in the Son has eternal life. The one who rejects the Son will not see life, but God’s wrath remains on him.
But he answered them, “The man who made me well said to me, ‘Pick up your mat and walk.’” 12 They asked him, “Who is the man who said to you, ‘Pick up your mat and walk’?” 13 But the man who had been healed did not know who it was, for Jesus had slipped out, since there was a crowd in that place.
(2) Forgiveness of all sin.
About him all the prophets testify, that everyone who believes in him receives forgiveness of sins through his name.
And even though you were dead in your transgressions and in the uncircumcision of your flesh, he nevertheless made you alive with him, having forgiven all your transgressions.
13 And you, being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He has made alive together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses, 14 rhaving wiped out the 9handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross. 15 sHaving disarmed tprincipalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it.
(3) Freedom from condemnation.
“I tell you the solemn truth, the one who hears my message and believes the one who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned, but has crossed over from death to life.
There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.
(4) Justification (declared righteous by God).
Therefore, since we have been declared righteous by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,
What then shall we say that Abraham, our ancestor according to the flesh, has discovered regarding this matter? 2 For if Abraham was declared righteous by the works of the law, he has something to boast about—but not before God. 3 For what does the scripture say? “ Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness.” 4 Now to the one who works, his pay is not credited due to grace but due to obligation. 5 But to the one who does not work, but believes in the one who declares the ungodly righteous, his faith is credited as righteousness. 6 So even David himself speaks regarding the blessedness of the man to whom God credits righteousness apart from works:
He was given over because of our transgressions and was raised for the sake of our justification.
(5) Salvation.
For by grace you are saved through faith, and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God; 9 it is not from works, so that no one can boast.
(6) A child of God by faith.
But to all who have received him—those who believe in his name—he has given the right to become God’s children
For all who are led by the Spirit of God are the sons of God. 15 For you did not receive the spirit of slavery leading again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption, by whom we cry, “Abba, Father.” 16 The Spirit himself bears witness to our spirit that we are God’s children. 17 And if children, then heirs (namely, heirs of God and also fellow heirs with Christ)—if indeed we suffer with him so we may also be glorified with him.

I want to spend time in the word

PS 86      Bow down Your ear, O Lord, hear me;
For I am poor and needy.

Really without Jesus I am nothing. O am poor without Jesus and when I go and think of the things Jesus did for me and who Jesus is then I tend to do better. It is needful to always go to the Lord first and I fail so much at this. One thing here is that when we talk to Jesus he is going to hear us and he loves us to come with all our needs

2     Preserve my 1life, for I am holy;
     You are my God;
Save Your servant who trusts in You!
` I am not in me holy, I am holy because in Jesus I am who he is. God made me holy when I was saved and made me able to come to him because of the Love of Jesus. Holy is so perfect and in the blood of Jesus I am perfect already,

3     Be merciful to me, O Lord,
For I cry to You all day long.

Do not treat me as you ought to. Jesus nevfer is fair with me he is always over fair with me in grace. If I am bad he forgave me and needs me to repent or to turn from my sins. If I do he restores me and fills me with his grace. I love his grace that never ends.

4     2Rejoice the soul of Your servant,
aFor to You, O Lord, I lift up my soul.

Jesus is joyed in us. What a thought Gods Joy is in you and I loving him and depending on him. Jesus wants to help us so we love and share in his grace. Jesus is for us and not wishing to give us anything but his blessings and grace. I mess up in looking for blessings and not him

5     For bYou, Lord, are good, and ready to forgive,
And abundant in mercy to all those who call upon You.

God is good and wants to be good and is not able to be bad in anyway. God has never done bad and does all in love and grace. Good means God is kind and pleasant and he is just a kind loving daddy that wants us to love and trust him. God wants to forgive all your sins and not hold them over you. It is the blood of Jesus that takes them and cleans then and I think the day one gets saved they are all forgiven forever.
Col 2 11 In Him you were also mcircumcised with the circumcision made without hands, by nputting off the body 8of the sins of the flesh, by the circumcision of Christ, 12 oburied with Him in baptism, in which you also were raised with Him through pfaith in the working of God, qwho raised Him from the dead.
And attend to the voice of my supplications.
7     In the day of my trouble I will call upon You,
     For You will answer me.

Jesus is going to hear me when I call to him. He wants to hear me and loves it when I come to him.

So JW you are a creep and I wish you well. You took a ton of money so your not close to being saved. Matter is your in danger of the flames of hell for this and I hope you repent. I k now your just not going to love your life. I hope you know your just not going to bew free longer and your freedom is gone. I never gave you anything for money and the truth is your going to go just for the 250 you stole. Yes nothing you siad is right, You grand parents are alive. I know you have not worked and i THINK YOUR on drugs and your not going to ever be a good person and you lie and lie until you die then try to get in. Jesus said if you obeyed him your saved and if your not obeying Jesus and loving the Lord over all you over. If you steal friend I do not care if you go to church your not saved unless you do what Jesus said he is going to do in you. No one steals and then is saved. Jesus did not listen to the good people he listens to the ones who need him and rely on him for everything. Jesus did not save the people that said they were good he saved the sinners that were in need of grace. JW you need to repent and that means undoing the theft and paying all the money you owe and then get a job and pay your self a while and save until you retire. I got to send money every week to my retirement fund. I need to work a thing where 200 a month is going for the need of a vacation and rest. Then I need to use the other money and go on a tighter plan so I do not need to work in the summer and plan for a day when work is not there. I want to remain independent and get my cash flow going I ought to tithe and see if the truth will not help me in my life. It is going to take 40 a week to go to truth and life in January. I can do that if I keep working and invest into a account and save money\

Be sure to listen to the singers and tell me if you like them.

I lost 800 bucks and anyone with info to find it will get a reward. I am asking for prayer. I also had a chat with my friend that thinks hell does not last forever and he is not going to repent of this and it might mean I go after him for church discipline. I am not ok with him teaching anyone in che church or him having authority in my church. I GUESS I spoke and it is not enough of a thing to be out of leadership if he does not teach this in the church, I spoke to one that said that so leave it there and allow the Lord to think it over and deal with this. I need however to show folks where in the bible I am coming from.

Key Facts About Eternity
(1)Everyone will exist eternally either in heaven or hell (Daniel 12:2,3; Matthew 25:46; John 5:28; Revelation 20:14,15).
Daniel 12 2     And many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake,
     dSome to everlasting life,
Some to shame eand everlasting 1contempt.
3     Those who are wise shall fshine
Like the brightness of the firmament,
gAnd those who turn many to righteousness
hLike the stars forever and ever.

Matt 25 41 “Then He will also say to those on the left hand, i‘Depart from Me, you cursed, jinto the everlasting fire prepared for kthe devil and his angels: 42 for I was hungry and you gave Me no food; I was thirsty and you gave Me no drink; 43 I was a stranger and you did not take Me in, naked and you did not clothe Me, sick and in prison and you did not visit Me.’
44 “Then they also will answer 4Him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not minister to You?’ 45 Then He will answer them, saying, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, linasmuch as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to Me.’ 46 And mthese will go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”
Note everlasting punshment not just a million years? Everlasting hell.

John 5 28 Do not marvel at this; for the hour is coming in which all who are in the graves will zhear His voice 29 aand come forth— bthose who have done good, to the resurrection of life, and those who have done evil, to the resurrection of condemnation. 30 cI can of Myself do nothing. As I hear, I judge; and My judgment is righteous, because dI do not seek My own will but the will of the Father who sent Me.
One has only one life in which to determine their destiny (Hebrews 9:27).
(3)Heaven or hell is determined by whether a person believes (puts their trust) in Christ alone to save them (John 3:16, 36, etc.).
(3) Hell is conscious torment.
Matthew 13:50 “furnace of fire…weeping and gnashing of teeth”
Mark 9:48 “where their worm does not die, and the fire is not quenched”
Revelation 14:10 “he will be tormented with fire and brimstone”
(4) Hell is eternal and irreversible.
Revelation 14:11 “the smoke of their torment goes up forever and ever and they have no rest day and night”
Revelation 20:14 “This is the second death, the lake of fire”
Revelation 20:15 “If anyone’s name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire”
(2) Hell is too severe a punishment for man’s sin.
Response: God is holy-perfect (1 Peter 1:14,15).
Sin is willful opposition to God our creator (Romans 1:18-32).
Our sin does merit hell (Romans 1:32; 2:2,5,6).
What is unfair and amazing is that Christ died for our sin and freely offers salvation to all (Romans 2:4; 3:22-24; 4:7,8; 5:8,9).
Rev 11 Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat on it, from whose face uthe earth and the heaven fled away. vAnd there was found no place for them. 12 And I saw the dead, wsmall and great, standing before 3God, xand books were opened. And another ybook was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged zaccording to their works, by the things which were written in the books. 13 The sea gave up the dead who were in it, aand Death and Hades delivered up the dead who were in them. bAnd they were judged, each one according to his works. 14 Then cDeath and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. dThis is the second 4death. 15 And anyone not found written in the Book of Life ewas cast into the lake of fire.
Macs bible
20:12 standing before God. In a judicial sense, as guilty, condemned prisoners before the bar of divine justice. There are no living sinners left in the destroyed universe since all sinners were killed and all believers glorified. books. These books record every thought, word, and deed of sinful men—all recorded by divine omniscience (see note on Dan. 7:10, the verse that is the source of this text). They will provide the evidence for eternal condemnation. Cf. 18:6,7. Book of Life. It contains the names of all the redeemed (Dan. 12:1; see notes on 3:5). judged according to their works. Their thoughts (Luke 8:17; Rom. 2:16), words (Matt. 12:37), and actions (Matt. 16:27) will be compared to God’s perfect, holy standard (Matt. 5:48; 1 Pet. 1:15,16) and will be found wanting (Rom. 3:23). This also implies that there are degrees of punishment in hell (cf. Matt. 10:14,15; 11:22; Mark 12:38–40; Luke 12:47,48; Heb. 10:29).
20:13 Death and Hades. See note on 1:18. Both terms describe the state of death. All unrighteous dead will appear at the Great White Throne Judgment; none will escape. All the places that have held the bodies of the unrighteous dead will yield up new bodies suited for hell.
