Finding Joy in Jesus christ alone

Lets get back to the study I am working on on Reasons to rejoice in Jesus all thing time. I was talking about the Joy we need to have due to the work of Jesus on the cross.
Rom 5 5 Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2 through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.1
At one time every man was at war with a holy God because we broke his law. God demands that we follow his laws perfectly and if we do not our life is in rebellion and God declared that we are at war with him. In Jesus and his work Jesus took on the sin that caused us to be at war with God and we paid and took the heat for it. When we trust in Jesus alone we can go to Him and be saved. Our war is over and we get the peace treaty. We can be rejoicing on this Jesus took the pain and paid our way into heaven.
1 peter 1 Though now you do not see Him, yet believing, you rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory, 9 receiving the end of your faith—the salvation of your souls.2
We have the salvation of our souls and our sins are paid for in the death of Jesus so how can we not be joyful. Jesus has give us life forever that is his gift so we ought to be full of Joy. Our sins are gone and Jesus is the hope of our souls and this is all we are to look at. We have heaven forever so why ought we not find Joy in that, we do not love this world. Matter of fact we are not going to find Joy in the things that end. If you trust in the things here your joy is going to end. Jesus said to rejoice in the fact we are in heavens books not in the things of this world.
We ought to rejoice in thework of the Holy spirit on our behalf.
Rom 8 26 Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. 27 Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God.3
In the God head we have the Spirit pleading on our behalf every day. All the time the spirit is before the Father praying for us and asking for Jesus to work in our life. Also the Holy spirit makes intercession knowing the will of God and what is best for me in my life and walk with Jesus.
We ought to rejoice in God because of the blessings we have in our life.
Eph 1 3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, 4 just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love,4
God has given us all blessings in the bag the day that we got saved. I think part of the reason that we need to keep seeking Jesus is that we need to discover them and praise God for them. Gods blessings are so vast and so many. One of the blessings is God choose us to be in Jesus. He did not choose everyone to be his. And he choose us before the creation so we have been thought of by God forever. God had it planed that we were to be made holy in the Blood of Jesus and we were going to blameless.
Phil 4 13 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
God has given me the power to work and serve Jesus in all ways when I came to him. We have all the blessings so we ought to serve him and take our lives and reach others with the news of Gods love and grace. We thank him by serving him in what he asked us to do. We rejoice that all the power in God is in us and that ought to make us not ashamed to stand up for Jesus and bring joy to him and to others.
Col 2 8 Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the basic principles of the world, and not according to Christ. 9 For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily; 10 and you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power.
God does not want us to look to the things in the world to fill our needs and make us rejoice, he wants to fill them in him. All the things in the world are going to end. All the things in God last forever. And the world does not rejoice in Jesus and his power the world looks to things. In this passage we that are in Christ are complete and do not have to go outside of our faith to fill our needs. As in the above passage we have everything in Jesus and we need to rest in him and not leave his side to find our joy. Rejoice because your in Jesus and he made you to go to him alone for all your needs
.
2 Peter 1 2 Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, 3 as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue, 4 by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
Just another passage to nail this concept of we have all we need in Jesus. Our hope rested in Jesus alone and if we go for anything else as God's kids we are going to lose. We are going to lose time we can serve Jesus and make him famous and that is time I for one am not glad to lose
