I am going to work on this for a couple of nights.
Heb 7 Therefore, as the Holy Spirit says:
“Today, if you will hear His voice,
8 Do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion,
In the day of trial in the wilderness,
It is a urgent thing not to take your time in your walk because it is a thing you need to work on today. When you read the bible and find a new thing I think you need to get on it the day you see it. This song is about Moses and the time when the people were out in the wilderness. In that hard time the Lord is asking the people not to harden their hearts. We need to keep Jesus first even in the hard times and love him when life is hard.

In his earlier ministry D.L. Moody often would end his message with, “Go home and think about what I’ve said.” One night in Chicago he told the people to do this and to come back the next night ready to make a decision. That night the Chicago fire broke out, and some who had been in his congregation died. That was the last time he told anyone to think over the claims of Christ and make a decision later. No one knows if he will have a tomorrow in which to decide. Today signifies the present time of grace. Men today, as in the time of Moody and in the time of Hebrews and in the time of David and in the time of Moses, never know how long that time of grace for them will be.[1]

9 Where your fathers tested Me, tried Me,
And saw My works forty years.

In the time of the old God was tested and he passed all the tests in his time. God did what he said he going to do. He did give the promise land to the people and he fed them and took care of them. We today are able to know the things Jesus said and we can trust him for our Salvation and our hope. We can trust Jesus with our worrys and cares, our hope of heaven and our needs every day. Why not think it over and write some comments on things we trust Jesus for. I want to know.

Comments:
I am thankful and trust Jesus for the fact that not one who trusted Him and died in the fires after the Moody sermon went to hell. Really.
And, I would bet that some were thinking about what Moody said.
Fire or not.

Oh yeah, I am also thankful for being mostly empty space. It helps to assure me of a creator.
