Works r for you from Jesus

In the faith we share a debate goes on and on and that is do you have to work to share heaven. I am not going to solve this tonight. It is my job as a writer and thinker to give my take on things and you the reader to make your take on Gods word. It is the Holy One that gives to us the word and we must be righteous and saved to know it. So I hope every time you read me for 2 things. I want you to think about the passage I am in and I want you to think. If I am wrong then I want and welcome your thoughts.

James 2 14 14 What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can faith save him? 15 If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food, 16 and one of you says to them, “Depart in peace, be warmed and filled,” but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit? 17 Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.[1]

1 James begins this section with 2 questions and they lead us to this point, what is the faith that saved you. Is faith all you need or is there more to it than that? I know many know how I would go with this. Salvation is a free gift and faith is a gift that the Lord gives to you. But that is not where I am going to stop because after you are saved you are given things to do to serve Jesus and love him. Here is a good place to take you so you see my point

EPH 2 8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast. 10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.
Saved by Grace amen. No works are in your salvation it was given to you free of charge and extra large. No works what so ever. No strings your saved. Why here do we neglect 10? We are the work of God made for good works or perhaps saved for the reason of doing good works. So James is getting us to think of that to see if we are saved and what is he getting at? Are we doing well or is our life proving that we are saved.
Back to James, he gives us this to chew on what is a brother is needful of food and you say God bless and do not meet the need are you in Jesus? I think that if you do not help your not in Jesus and you need to think it over. It is like this I had a uncle that was in need and I am able to help him. It is my job to help him and if I did not then I am a fake. If I was not able to fine I am off the hook but I am so I did. If your own family is in need you need to help in any way you can, if your saved you know you are a person that God gave gifts to and maybe the gift is to help others. Now if you asked Jesus to save you your going to do the things to help others and love others. If your friend needs a meal you know your food is the Lord and your going to feed him. See the point is you know that your things are all gifts from the Lord and you need to use them to praise him and when you do he is going to bless. I seek him I find him and he loves to give to me more that I can speak. I love him tons and trust him more every day knowing that when I am called to share I am going to share myself.

18 But someone will say, “You have faith, and I have works.” Show me your faith without your works, and I will show you my faith by my works. 19 You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe—and tremble! 20 But do you want to know, O foolish man, that faith without works is dead[2]

Is this at first glace a scary passage? If you think just believing is good then James and Jesus think your off. The devil knows his fate and tremble at the truth of hell. I was going to a series here on hell but I felt this series on James needs to be done. Just the thought of one second out of the Love of Jesus is so scary. Listen I am in Love and to take Jesus from my life for any second is such a bad thought but the devil knew the Lord and went away from Jesus. What a dumb bell knowing he is going to live in hell. Awful thought but he knows the end and is. I hope you know that Jesus is going to work for you and your special to Jesus.

Comments:
Good thoughts, Shadman.

Just a question, though.

What if I fail to do the things that show to the world that I am saved? Will God still love me?

Anyway, you are right about doing things. It comes from that desire put in us from God.

Keep talking about Jesus and His love. It is your gift. It is also an encouragement to me.

Thank you for your devotion to the Lord.
