what did you say
Hey U people I hope your all doing well. I am growing in this cold time in the St Cloud area. I still am moving in and longing for Grace church and the area out in LA. I want to go in Oct. and be there and get my job by Christmas. Pray for me on this and pray that the Lord will show me the way and the right thing in this. I want to serve the Lord where ever he wants me to go and where he wants me.
I want to keep in the bible and the book of James.
James 3 1 My brethren, let not many of you become teachers, knowing that we shall receive a stricter judgment. 2 For we all stumble in many things. If anyone does not stumble in word, he is a perfect man, able also to bridle the whole body. 3 Indeed, we put bits in horses’ mouths that they may obey us, and we turn their whole body. 4 Look also at ships: although they are so large and are driven by fierce winds, they are turned by a very small rudder wherever the pilot desires. 5 Even so the tongue is a little member and boasts great things.[1]
A pastor told me that it is not good that I put up my studies on the net. I am no longer in that church but in this passage I think we need to talk about the teacher of the word of God. I am taking the role of a teacher I guess when I do this. I am going to have to talk to the Lord when I get to heaven when I am there and he might not like something I might of said on this but I am not going to end this blog over it. I feel the Lord blessing this and I talk to people all the time that benefit from the blog and the teaching that I do here. This passage is a call for the teacher to get it right. I also do this because I want to have a record of the things I am learning and want to share them with you the reader.
In verse 2 James talks about the fact that if you stumble in one way you break the law. I think this is a good passage to lunch into the fact that no one of is perfect. In the speaking that comes out of our mouths we all sin in some way. I want to debunk a fake teaching that some have and that is we can use positive confession to get what one wants. Like if you confess your going to be poor you will be poor. That is a lie from Hell and I think the people that teach it are fakes. But it is true that what we say can and does get us in trouble. We gossip and then we hurt others and that can cause much division in church families. It causes people to say junk that get took the wrong way and it hurts. Our words can and do hurt others and if they go out of control. It is so important to watch our words and be slow to speak and quick to listen. The time we need to rethink what we are going to say is the time the Lord can use to guide us in our speech.

Shadman,
Your words encourage me, at least. I think God is a mighty worker in what you do.
A footnote in my Bible asks if what I say is true? necessary? or kind?
I wish I always spoke truth. I wish I did it when it is needed. And I wish I was always kind about it. Alas, I fail. But, like learning to walk, I keep trying.
No matter what else, keep trying. You'll never get to where you are going, if you stop.
