liveto please Jesus

James is a good book so far. It seems that many like to twist the passages and make them say things the Lord does not say. One thine I am learning in bible if you find a teaching in one place it ought to be all over the bible. I am going to take the book of James and try to preach right but some are not going to like parts of it. God asked me to preach it and he is the one leading me

James 2 8 If you really fulfill the royal law according to the Scripture, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself,” you do well; 9 but if you show partiality, you commit sin, and are convicted by the law as transgressors.

James asks tonight if you follow the most important thing and that is Love you Lord and your neighbor. If you follow that then you’re making a good thing in your faith walk. I do not think I get that one right all the time. I mess all the laws up. I am not perfect and I fail at the most important of them all. Loving the Lord means you are going to live alone for Jesus and not for anyone else. We live, as Jesus is the one to please. What does it mean to Love? Do you value others over you? Do you see yourself as a servant of others? I heard of people that have missed church to help people out. I know some might think that is sin but lets say you see a person with a flat tire on your way to church. If you help them you are going to miss. I think you might need to miss church sometimes to help fix a flat tire if you’re needed. It is not wrong to miss. I heard of a man that was like a big time person that was getting ready for church and he was also trying to share Jesus with his neighbor. His neighbor had a project going on and had a ditch dug. So the man going to church went over and come to find out Jacks septic tank went and he had to fix it and dig out. John went over to the car and told the wife he needed to help Jack so the wife left without John and went to church. Jack then saw this Christian man change and came and they got the work done in half the time and Jack asked why he did not go to church and john said he wanted to help out and because of that it opened the door to share Jesus and Jack got saved. We need to love this way.

If you favor someone in church over someone else your not following the Love of Jesus. If you love brother because he is a bit higher in the pocket change and neglect Kay because she has a smell and does not have the cash your truly need to think about your Lord and how he might of sent Kay to you so you can love her to. Always seek to raise your love to the underdog really because that is what Jesus would want you to do. What a thing to win the underdog to Jesus and to know your love got them closer to Jesus.

10 For whoever shall keep the whole law, and yet stumble in one point, he is guilty of all. 11 For He who said, “Do not commit adultery,” also said, “Do not murder.” Now if you do not commit adultery, but you do murder, you have become a transgressor of the law. 12 So speak and so do as those who will be judged by the law of liberty. 13 For judgment is without mercy to the one who has shown no mercy. Mercy triumphs over judgment.[1]

If you break the law of loving people but go to church and read the bible every time your told to friend your life is not going to change. If you never look at porn and fail to feed the homeless your faith is to me a sham. If you are never taking the Lords name in vain yet you could help a family get on their feet and shun them your so called faith to me is a sham and you need to find the truth. I am not knocking church or bible reading or the 10 commandments. I am knocking folk that call themselves saved and do not act it out. I do not know of anyone in my life that is like that. All the strong Christian I know loves others and wants to serve others in good ways. People that drive miles out if their way to get me to church are heroes to me. Folks that ask you how you’re doing and push me to the limits are good people. I am talking to those who go to church but live wrong the rest pf the week.

In closing James calls me to grant mercy and that is the withhold wrath from people that need it. Or deserve it. I am to forgive and have compassion for the lost so that I am able to serve them. I must note that if you think you’re a good person and think you kept the laws of God and think your ok you are mistaken. If you one time break one law you’re not perfect and that is what the Lord demands of you for you to go to heaven when you die. I must ask you have you broken any of the commands of God? If you just said one bad word your guilty and if you die your standing before Jesus is not good. But Jesus came to die friend for your sins and he asks you tonight if you might ask him to forgive you and turn from your sin and ask him to come into you and change you from the inside out. Are you certain if you die you would go to heaven? If your not please email me or make a comment or do something. I would love to email you and explain how to know your going to heaven. Email me a biblereader2k@yhoo.com and let’s talk.

Thanks for reading and later

God bless you all \Shadman
