Just serve Jesus
There come a time when folks are going to die. I listened to a tape today from a dead man that I got to meet. He spent 50 years teaching at Masters College and he got a death call and the Lord called him home. Onthis tape he makes a few things I want to touch on. First of all I wonder if you and I are ready to die. Are we certain that we have Jesus in and the devil out. He is going to come anytime and we need to realize that Jesus does what he wants and he will be back and this could be the day you meet him. Get ready by knowing your saved and sure of heaven. Second learn to build your life in heaven and make your time here a time to gather friends for heaven. Give lots of cash to the work of the Lord and invest time in your walk. It is a investment that you need to make and it pays tons in the kingdom. It might be that how you handle what God gave you affects your forever. Also I need to not go after things but go after my walk in Jesus. It is going to be a good for us to live and lead others to Jesus and thus doing our job. So prepare to go home. Have a will and life if you need it so the kids are covered. If you prepare life for those left here will be better when the Lord calls your name. It is going to happen and your going to be in heaven so get ready and be right with the Lord.
On another tape Mac spoke on the truth that I think is important and that is fighting the devil. He said that we do not cast out the devil and we do not go on the attack but we stand on Jesus and if we stand on Jesus and resist the evil one confess our sins we are going to be protected.
21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered Isaac his son on the altar? 22 Do you see that faith was working together with his works, and by works faith was made perfect? 23 And the Scripture was fulfilled which says, “Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.” And he was called the friend of God. 24 You see then that a man is justified by works, and not by faith only.
25 Likewise, was not Rahab the harlot also justified by works when she received the messengers and sent them out another way?
26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.[1]
Was Abe justified by works> No he was not he was saved by the faith that he showed by working. It would be a contrary thing to say works serves Justice. You need to look at the whole bible to find your doctrine. If you say it is works you null most of the books of the bible and parts of James. James said that all gifts are from the Father above. SO how r we going to make this passage fit into our study. Ought we get the whiteout and Just not work it out. No we need to work and see how this fits.
Clue one for me is this. That a man is justified by works and not faith alone shows me that you have to work if you have faith. It proves you have faith. If you think over the ground we hit the last few times your going to see that if you do not feed your own your not saved. It like this, salvation is free for you. Works cannot earn it rather works are going to prove it. If you do not have works in your life your not saved. If your not loving your wife and no changes are in your life your not saved. Changing takes time. If your not in the bible and in love with Jesus are you saved? Do not take this as a condemning thing if your saved so the word each day. If you’re saved live for the Lord. I think folks like to make debate out of this I think if you’re saved your going to live in Jesus and read the bible and pray. If you’re not just do it. If your love life is cold fix it. If you do not confess your sins every day start. It is time for us to stop debating this faith and just do it. Love your neighbor and fellowship in church even if you do not want to. Maybe this time you need the body to love on you and serve you. It is a full time thing to have faith in Jesus. Are you sharing Jesus so folks get saved? Just share it. Jesus lives in you and he wants to use you. None of this saved you got saved in Jesus and by Jesus so what is the thing holding you. Get your sins confessed and get on with life. Jesus will guide you. DO not be lazy about this life Learn to Love Jesus and your fellow man. If you got a grudge Just forgive him. If the relationship is broke fix it. I hope your fired up in the Lord
