The bible is true
I want to talk some tonight on the truth that the Gospels are true. We do not have much of the original writings of the New Testament. However you have tons of copies of parts of it. If you count all the books and things for worship parts of the Bible number over 24,000. If you want to compare this to any other book the numbers are not there. There are over 500 originals copies of this book. So it was copied tons and tons. Same with the Old Testament every man had to make a copy and if there was one letter wrong they had to start over again. Friends we have the correct Bible and we know for truth the Bible is a book that cannot compare to any other document of its kind.
But there are a few things that might be mistakes in the bible. If you look at other things in this time period as far as copies the Bible beats them all HAND down. Many ways the bible can be looked at as far as is the original copies. If you look at letters between the church fathers, commentaries, and sermons you have tons of quotes of the bible and the words of Jesus. Also there are copies of the bible is Latin and Syriac and Ethiopic. All the copies agree within 99.5 percent and in the disputes if you look in the margin of your Bible they are there. Take a look at your bible and page though it and see they mark the places where they think it might not be right. Every time a King James Only man points out a different word that is cut out I look to the margin to see why.
Another thing there are some Gospels that did not make it in to the Bible. Many of them are named after major names in the New Testament. There are some thing they do not have and reasons they are not in the Bible. One thing that books in the bible have is they are all written by either a apostle or a eyewitness. If they are not then you cannot accept them into the bible. Also they had to agree with the basic faith. Then they had to be used by most of the saved folks of that time. Some of the Catholics came the books and that is not right.
Bottom line what is in the Bible is there by God and you can trust it!
