What are the true gifts
What is the issue tonight. I want to start by talking about the so called gift of speaking in touges. I want to first of all define this gift as the use of different langues. In the time of the start of the church the men who lead the church were in the city and there were many nations and on the day of Penacost the Lord told the 12 to go and reach them all. To enable this the 12 had to talk the talk of many different lands. So the Lord in the Holy spirit gave the words in all the lands talk. So like if the man was a English man the Lord allow the English to hear the word in English. God NEVER gave some kind of talk that was special to a person and not to be understood. I realize there are people who might think this gift is real. I would like you to type out why and I will post you on the blog. I think this gift ended at a time when the bible was done. Here is the part you need to get.
8 Love never fails. But whether there are prophecies, they will fail; whether there are tongues, they will cease; whether there is knowledge, it will vanish away. 9 For we know in part and we prophesy in part. 10 But when that which is perfect has come, then that which is in part will be done away.
Not they will cease. None of it is today and if the Church does not preach this they are in error. It goes back to the truth that God wants to be known. God is not going to give us a talk no one understands. Jesus is not going to work his world in this way. It goes to say the truth that tongues are not in the bible all but one or 2 times. God does not want me to talk in the spirit because then I would be doing his work. Holy God has a spirit already praying this way for me. Look at this in Romans 8
26 Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groaning which cannot be uttered. 27 Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God.
If I want to get the groaning of the Holy Spirit then I am doing work that belongs to him. It plainly said you are in his mind. So are you going to talk in his Job and not allow him to do the job of praying for you? God is the author of your salvation to. I maintain you are his choice and he keeps you. So if you try to keep your self then your working for it. Some think one is not saved if they do not talk I n tongues and that is adding to the work of Jesus. Jesus is the one that did all the work for you to be saved. He is not going to give you this gift of tongues and he does baptize you into the Holy Spirit when you’re saved. Jesus completes you on the day you ask him into your heart and does not give you a second time. It is just dum to seek a gift that you do not get at this time. God gives you tons and this gift is not part of the package in this time. If it were we would have had tons of instructions on the gift. I do not seek it. I thought at one time I had it but know I did not because it is not there.
I know there are gifts the Lord gives to us to share his love with others. Like the gift of preaching and teaching. Also the gift of faith and prayer. In this I am sure we find them in the books of Romans and 1 Cor. God has plans and gives people gifting to fill the plans. Look at Romans 12
3 For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith. 4 For as we have many members in one body, but all the members do not have the same function, 5 so we, being many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another. 6 Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, let us prophesy in proportion to our faith; 7 or ministry, let us use it in our ministering; he who teaches, in teaching; 8 he who exhorts, in exhortation; he who gives, with liberality; he who leads, with diligence; he who shows mercy, with cheerfulness.
No touges in that set. We got the gifts of faith, preaching, mercy and giving. So I am hoping you get the idea.

Here is a thing on gifts
SPIRITUAL GIFTS — special gifts bestowed by the Holy Spirit upon Christians for the purpose of building up the church. The list of spiritual gifts in 1 Corinthians 12:8–10 includes wisdom, knowledge, faith, healing, miracles, prophecy, discerning of spirits, speaking in tongues, and interpretation of tongues. Similar lists appear in Ephesians 4:7–13 and Romans 12:3–8.
The apostle Paul indicated that these gifts are equally valid but not equally valuable. Their value is determined by their worth to the church. In dealing with this matter, he used the analogy of the human body. All members of the body have functions, Paul declared, but some are more important than others. The service of each Christian should be in proportion to the gifts that person possesses (1 Corinthians 12–14).
Since these gifts are gifts of grace, according to Paul, their use must be controlled by the principle of love—the greatest of all spiritual gifts (1 Corinthians 13).
