My take on Salvation Is it forever? part 1
I am tonight going to address the thing I am asking people. I am going to talk on the truth that Jesus is never going to allow the true beliver to lose salvation. Jesus said many times and so does the word that you are saved one time for all time. I want to start this with this statement in the book of Col. Here is the Verse
Col 11 In Him you were also circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, by putting off the body of the sins of the flesh, by the circumcision of Christ, 12 buried with Him in baptism, in which you also were raised with Him through faith in the working of God, who raised Him from the dead. 13 And you, being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He has made alive together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses, 14 having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross. 15 Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it.
Paul is talking to the people about the deal on why they did need to circumsize. In this note a few things. If you are Jesus and his death you died to your old sinful self. You were then raised up meaning given a eternal life. Now if Jesus did not die completely for all your sin then more payment has to be made. Note in 13 all was forgiven. If all your sins were forgive AND the law no longer applys to you your then into a new life or state with Jesus. SO here might be a question. Did the blood of Jesus forgive my past and sins I did not do yet. Well if the law no longer is your master you then are free of it you are not going to break it. Lets go around the bible and note this just to make sure
Ps 32 1 Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven,
Whose sin is covered.
Sins forgiven and transgressions covered!
Ps 130 3 If You, LORD, should mark iniquities,
O Lord, who could stand?
4 But there is forgiveness with You,
That You may be feared.
Ok If Jesus keeps a record of your sins you cannot stand. BUT I like that forgiveness is for sins. If you read this then we see the Lord does not keep a record of sin..
Ps 103 Nor punished us according to our iniquities.
11 For as the heavens are high above the earth,
So great is His mercy toward those who fear Him;
12 As far as the east is from the west,
So far has He removed our transgressions from us.
Our sins are gone from the mind of God.
Here is morwe
“Come now, and let us reason together,”
Says the LORD,
“Though your sins are like scarlet,
They shall be as white as snow;
Though they are red like crimson,
They shall be as wool.
Gods reasoning is our sins are as white as snow. They are gone and the white is white without a trace of stain. Like if I took a shirt and got it dirty and Jesus makes it all gone.
SO who is God? Micah
18 Who is a God like You,
Pardoning iniquity
And passing over the transgression of the remnant of His heritage?
He does not retain His anger forever,
God is a forgiver and when he does it is forever.
Titus 3 3 For we ourselves were also once foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving various lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful and hating one another. 4 But when the kindness and the love of God our Savior toward man appeared, 5 not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit,
Note we do not do good to get saved. ALL RIGHTOUSNESS IS A GIFT FROM THE CROSS-. We do not add to it and did not earn it. It is a gift.
Here is the last one for tonight.
Romans 8
God’s Everlasting Love
31 What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? 32 He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? 33 Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies. 34 Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us. 35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? 36 As it is written:
“For Your sake we are killed all day long;
We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.”
37 Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. 38 For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, 39 nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
God if we are saved holds onto me and my heart. I do not hold on I just trust.
WE NEVER LOSE OYUR SALVATION
