A attack on my faith

I got this in my email today and I need to react to it. I feel this man is a bit over the top. Friends people wonder why I am going after other faiths and this is one reason why. I am shocked and mad at this trash. I guess that Jesus said this is going to happen to us in the end. I must say I did not make it easy when I was a kid on Christians. Jesus made this claim

Matthew 10 22 And you will be hated by all for My name’s sake. But he who endures to the end will be saved. 23 When they persecute you in this city, flee to another. For assuredly, I say to you, you will not have gone through the cities of Israel before the Son of Man comes.[1]

Matthew 2 11 “Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake. 12 Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.[2]

So Jesus said we are going to take heat for being Christians. We will be hated and given over to the government. They are going to kill us and jail us.

1 peter 4 12 Beloved, do not think it strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened to you; 13 but rejoice to the extent that you partake of Christ’s sufferings, that when His glory is revealed, you may also be glad with exceeding joy. 14 If you are reproached for the name of Christ, blessed are you, for the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you. On their part He is blasphemed, but on your part He is glorified. 15 But let none of you suffer as a murderer, a thief, an evildoer, or as a busybody in other people’s matters. 16 Yet if anyone suffers as a Christian, let him not be ashamed, but let him glorify God in this matter.[3]

I know it is not a popular to talk about this. One of the reasons why people are so hostle to the Gospel is they just do not get it. I think the evil one is fighting us every step of the way. Christ wants us to know the fight is on for our faith. Friend here is the bible talking about people in our world that do not want Jesus

1 cor 13 These things we also speak, not in words which man’s wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual. 14 But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. 15 But he who is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is rightly judged by no one. 16 For “who has known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct Him?” But we have the mind of Christ.[4]

Bill if you read this I want you to know I like you and I want you to rethink your call to us. Jesus loves you and wants you to come to him. On the left side of the screen is a link to how to be saved. Please look at it is take the test.

HBO's Bill Maher Says Christians Have Neurological Disorder, Are Crazy
Dear Shad,
Bill Maher, host of HBO's Real Time With Bill Maher, says that all Christians are crazy and are unenlightened because of their faith. Maher made the comments on MSNBC's Scarborough Country. Maher said: "We are a nation that is unenlightened because of religion…I think that religion stops people from thinking. I think it justifies crazies. I think that flying planes in a building was a faith-based initiative. I think religion is a neurological disorder. If you look at it logically, it's something that was drilled into your head when you were a small child.""When you look at belief in such things--as do you go to heaven, is there a devil--we have more in common with (Muslin countries) Turkey and Iran and Syria than we do with European nations and Canada and nations that, yes, I would consider more enlightened that us."Maher said he wasn't speaking only of evangelicals, but included all religious people. He said he agreed with Jesse Vent! ura "who had that quote about religion is a crutch for weak-minded people who need strength in numbers."Because of their neurological disorder, he said Christians "do not believe in science and rationality." He went on to say the future does not belong to religion. One recalls the famous quote from the Beatles in the 60's that they "were more popular than Jesus."According to Maher, the Bible is a book of fairy tales, calling the account of Jonah a fairy tale the same as Jack in the Beanstalk.Had Maher said such things about homosexuals, he would have been immediately fired. But because he was speaking of Christians, his bigotry was acceptable to HBO, owned by Time Warner Inc.
